HDMC 1st Hanson & Beards Champ Trial - Parkwood Offroad Tong - 16th January 2011
Very wet and muddy conditions greeted the massive entry at Horsforth DMC first championship trial of 2011. This was the first trial using the new marking system which admittedly was a bit confusing at first and we will endeavour to improve this for future events.
The new marking was devised so we could fully accommodate the extreme variations of rider ability in the club. We now have a dedicated hard course and clubmen course where the severity can be maintained at a constant level, along with an beginner course which avoids most of the big hazardous parts and encourages new starters to "Have a go" without fear of damaging themselves or their bikes.
The feed back from the riders was very positive and they had an enjoyable days riding which is exactly what we tried to provide. See you at the next round.
